ROB JANOFF & HIS CREATIVE GROUP
Experience meets

WHAT WE BELIEVE
Clarity makes room
for connection
We want to help create genuine, meaningful brands. That starts with understanding the people on both sides of the business: the team building it and the customers choosing it.
A useful identity respects people’s time. It makes a business easier to recognise, its purpose easier to understand and its experience easier to navigate. Those are practical ambitions that guide the creative work.

CURIOSITY & JUDGEMENT
Getting to know
your world
The people inside a business often know its strengths so well that they stop noticing them. An outside perspective can bring those qualities into focus. We listen to the people building the company and consider the experience of those choosing it, looking for an idea that is both true to the business and useful to its audience.
That understanding guides the choices that follow. A distinctive identity needs character, but it also needs to work: on a product, in a conversation or across a digital experience. We keep returning to those everyday encounters as the design develops.
A SHARED AMBITION
People who care
make better work
Rob values working with passionate people who share an ambition to make the work as good as it can be. That spirit shapes the relationship between the agency and its clients.
Our Australian team brings local knowledge and international connections to the group. We work alongside your people, with an interest in both the business you have built and where you want to take it.

ROB’S STORY
From Silicon Valley
to a global practice
Born in Culver City, Los Angeles, Rob studied at San Jose State University. He began in industrial design before finding his direction in graphic design. After college in 1970, he worked with small Silicon Valley agencies and their technology clients.
In early 1977, he joined Regis McKenna in Palo Alto. His experience with technology companies and his strength in visual concepts led to the assignment that would become his best-known work: the identity for Apple Computer.
Rob went on to agencies in New York and Chicago, creating print and television advertising for national and international brands. His work has involved accounts including IBM, Kleenex, Diners Club, Kraft, SC Johnson, AT&T, Citibank and John Deere. He continues to design with the agency and shares his experience with design students around the world.
Experience gives us a point of view. Curiosity keeps it open.
